
Northeastern USA Sales Representative – Footwear Industry (Commission Based)
Territory: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C.
Compensation: Independent Sales Representative (1099) – 10% Commission

To support our sales team, we provide:
- Trade show support at BSTA, The Great Event (NJ), Atlanta Shoe Market, NEAC, and NY Coterie (transition season and to be reviewed after first season)
- Buffalo, NY-based warehouse with open stock availability for in-season reorder business
- Established brand presence and long-standing retail partnerships throughout North America
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Northeastern USA Sales Representative to manage and grow an established territory. This role is responsible for driving sales growth through both existing key accounts and new business development.
The successful candidate will build strong retail partnerships, expand e-commerce opportunities with current and prospective accounts, and contribute to the continued growth of our premium footwear brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify marketplace opportunities to generate sales growth across all brands.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing key retail accounts.
- Prospect and develop new wholesale accounts throughout the territory.
- Grow e-commerce business with both established and new brick-and-mortar retailers.
- Meet and exceed seasonal and annual sales targets for bookings and reorders.
- Create detailed account plans and develop a deep understanding of customers’ businesses.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Customer Service, Sales Planning, Marketing, and Credit.
- Work proactively with retail partners to maximize marketing initiatives, co-op programs, POS materials, and promotional campaigns.
- Conduct engaging product knowledge and sales training presentations both in-store and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
- Represent the company and brands at industry trade shows and events.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of footwear sales experience or experience in a related fashion/apparel industry.
- Proven track record of developing wholesale accounts and achieving sales goals.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
- Understanding of e-commerce, digital marketing, and social media is considered an asset.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and territory management abilities.
Travel Requirements
- Local and overnight travel throughout the territory is required.
- Occasional travel to Canada for annual sales meetings.
- Canadian travel expenses and meeting costs are fully supported by the company.
